On Monday, October 25, the village of Taal, in Chin State, was the scene of abuses by the Burmese army.
For the second time in two months, a military convoy heading to the nearby town of Falam set fire to a dozen houses in the town.
Eight of them were completely reduced to ashes.
"On August 19, the troops
(of the army, editor's note)
vandalized a Baptist church and destroyed Bibles in the same village,"
lamented the Chin Human Rights organization shortly after this new attack.
A few kilometers further, the scenario repeats itself: on the roadside, three other houses are burnt down by the soldiers.
