The Greens, the Left, the FDP, the SPD and the Union will be represented in the Presidium of the new Bundestag.
The AfD candidate Michael Kaufmann, on the other hand, did not receive the necessary approval at the constituent session of parliament.
He got only 118 of the 369 required votes.
Kaufmann had been given little prospect of a place in the presidium in advance.
In the 19th electoral term, the AfD put six of its MPs for the post of Vice President.
They all failed in three ballots each because the members of the other parliamentary groups refused to approve them.
This is what happened to Kaufmann.
After the election of the SPD politician Bärbel Bas as the new parliamentary president, Claudia Roth and the FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki were confirmed as members of the presidium.
Petra Pau is again represented in the Vizeriege for the left.
Aydan Özoguz was newly elected from the SPD, and Yvonne Magwas for the Union.
With the Minister of State for Culture Monika Grütters, the Commissioner for Integration Annette Widmann-Mauz and the previous Parliamentary Secretary Michael Grosse-Brömer, several interested parties from the Union had waived this position in favor of Magwas.
