Wüst announces: Climate protection is the most important

The newly elected North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) has announced a government declaration for next Wednesday (November 3rd). In his acceptance speech after the swearing-in in the Düsseldorf state parliament, he said on Wednesday that he wanted to present the ideas of his black-yellow coalition for the most important issues.

Düsseldorf - The 46-year-old CDU politician had previously been elected head of government in North Rhine-Westphalia with 103 votes in favor as the successor to Armin Laschet (CDU).

Wüst exceeded the necessary majority of 100 votes in the secret ballot.

It was an honor for him to be able to serve North Rhine-Westphalia as Prime Minister, said Wüst.

"This choice touches me and I am grateful for the trust."
