2021-11-09T08:20:43.210Z

The facts took place this Tuesday morning when the two employees of a cash transport company reloaded a distributor.

No loot but a big adrenaline rush this Tuesday morning for two CIT couriers in Essonne.

While the two employees reload an ATM on rue de Corbeil, in the district of Grigny 2, they are attacked by a thief potentially helped by accomplices, which the investigation will have to determine.

Everything is going very fast.

The assailant is equipped with a tear gas canister.

A conveyor, feeling in danger, draws his gun and shoots.

An impact will be found in the storefront of a business.

The thief flees and vanishes into the wild.

"We do not know if he was hit", indicates a source close to the investigation which explains that the conveyors used their weapon on several occasions.

Third robbery in the same sector in 7 years

This is not the first time that an attack by conveyors has occurred in the poorest town in France and in this rue de Corbeil.

In 2014, a Loomis company van was robbed while carrying a large sum of money intended for a Société Générale agency.

The conveyors had been attacked by several hooded men armed with machine guns.

In this case too, one of the couriers immediately opened fire in the direction of the robbers, who had fled, without taking any loot.

In 2019, it was a few hundred meters away, in the Grigny shopping center, that a money conveyor was attacked by two men.

Damage: 30,000 euros.

The investigation into the robbery attempt that occurred on Tuesday morning is currently entrusted to the Juvisy-sur-Orge police station.
