The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday raised its French growth forecast for 2021 to “
around 6.75%
”, welcoming a “
strong rebound in consumption and investment
” in France.

The Washington-based institution had so far anticipated a 6.3% GDP growth for the year as a whole, while the French government is currently counting on 6.25%.
For 2022, on the other hand, the IMF is counting on a slightly less dynamic GDP growth than expected, at 3.7% against 3.9%.
