The General Company for Sanitation in Lattakia continues to implement the works of the assembly axis project for the city of Al-Haffah, at a cost of 410 million pounds, and the completion rate is 75 percent of the implementation of the General Company for Building and Development.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Suhail Shaheen, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the company implemented during the current year some important projects, most notably the sewage line in the Al-Gharraf neighborhood at a cost of 182 million pounds, and the Bahloulia axis project, in addition to the link of the axis in Jebul oak, at a cost of 189 million pounds, in addition to following up on the implementation of central projects Within the governorate, most notably the rain canal projects at a cost of 326 million pounds, and the completion rate to date has reached 80 percent.
He said: A contract was made with the Military Housing Corporation to implement the replacement and renewal works for the sewage network within the city of Lattakia at a cost of 64 million pounds, and the completion rate to date has reached 25%, while the project for emergency maintenance works on the streets and roads of Latakia was contracted to be implemented by the Construction and Development Company at a cost of 206 Millions of pounds, and the completion rate is about 30%.
Shaheen pointed out that the company, since the beginning of last August, has taken all necessary measures to isolate and wiring the rain nozzles and channels within the city's neighborhoods and streets, in addition to isolating the rain channels surrounding the city in preparation for the rainy season and to avoid traffic jams due to heavy rain, indicating that teams were formed to maintain drainage facilities. Rain throughout the day and when any rain occurs to secure rain drainage in the city.
