The dismissal of senior officials of the Ministry of Transportation: The
head of the ministry's infrastructure department, Sheila Adler, intends to remain in office, even though the director general of the Ministry of Transportation, Michal Frank, demanded that he resign.
On the other hand, the head of public transportation, Yaakov Netanyahu, is considering terminating his position in accordance with Frank's dictates.
The two have a political background associated with the Likud and the previous prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and this is the reason why they were ousted by Frank and backed by the Minister of Transportation, Merav Michaeli.
Sources close to Adler told "Israel Today" that he intends to fight with the intention of firing him because he does not think there is a substantive reason for the dismissal.
The sources stated that Eldar had indeed worked with Benjamin Netanyahu in the past, but he was appointed to a position on behalf of the Civil Service Commission in a transparent and legal tender.
We further noted that he is appreciated by many of the workers who even asked him not to succumb to Frank's dictates.
Meanwhile, a senior official in the Ministry of Transportation told "Israel Today" that the dismissal of the two shortly after they took office seems like an irrelevant and unprofessional move.
According to the senior, "The transportation profession is a difficult and complex field, which takes time to learn. If after a year in office, the minister and CEO would see that the two do not do their job properly, do not promote projects and do not use budgets, a dismissal step could be understood.
But making the move at the moment, hurts the employees and does not look professional. "
