- forest scientist Dr. Reinhard Mößmer, known for his redesign of the Nymphenburg Park in Munich, developed this "silvicultural-ecological" implementation. The chairman of the Förderkreis Christine Reichert calls his extensive park maintenance work “instructions for use for the next 100 years”. She describes the mostly free collaboration with Mössmer as an absolute godsend. He manages to reconcile the two different aspects of the forestry perspective with the art-historical interests of park planning.

The Schacky Park was laid out as a classicist landscape garden between 1904 and 1913. After the death of the founding family, the park was mainly used for forestry in the southern part, with some areas becoming overgrown. Since the support group has been taking care of the site from 2005, trees and groups of trees in the northern part have been looked after. For several years now, the southern area has also been redesigned. By removing some trees and the damaged spruce, more lines of sight were created again, which were once an important design feature in the park.

Mößmer wants to create the park, in his own words, "like a walk-in painting": Set accents with expressive trees, determine the color with different types of trees and diversify the view of the expanse with dark forest parts and light deciduous trees. “Winding paths that lead to surprising places and views with their secrets are the goal.” The paths, some of which are barrier-free and covered with wood chips, have already been laid out. Benches to linger invite you to look out over the southern Ammer moor across to Andechs.

The participants in the tour were surprised to see these park structures in their early stages. In order to replant more than 2000 trees so far in the past four and a half years, Mößmer emphasized "having to compare all garden-historical considerations with today's climate change". The Ammersee increases warmth and dryness with its air currents. That is why "autochthonous trees, that is, trees corresponding to the home location" have been planted. These include pedunculate oak, red beech, hornbeam and hornbeam, sycamore and field maple, summer linden, bird cherry, service tree, red alder, silver fir, local yew and walnut trees. Christine Reichert also thanked the forest farmers' association, with whose help the felling was possible. Funding came from the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forests (AELF) toTo finance rootstock milling, plants and wildlife fences.
