Schools and day-care centers in Saxony should remain open despite the far-reaching restrictions on public life.
This is provided for by the new corona ordinance for the daycare and school area, about which the Ministry of Education announced on Friday evening.
Daycare centers as well as elementary and special needs schools, however, have to go into the restricted regular operation, it said.
Dresden - It is due with a transition period from November 29th and means the strict separation of groups and fixed reference persons in order to keep infection chains short and comprehensible.
School attendance will be suspended until Christmas.
“In view of the very high number of infections in Saxony, we are better safeguarding operations in schools and daycare centers.
Making it possible to continue attending school and daycare under these conditions presents educators and teachers with enormous challenges, ”said Minister of Education Christian Piwarz (CDU).
However, it should not be the case that children and young people suffer from the fact that the rate of not fully vaccinated adults is nowhere as high as in Saxony.

The Reiss-Engelhorn Museums in Mannheim are focusing on a taboo subject with the exhibition “Faceless - Women in Prostitution”.
From next Sunday, black and white photographs of prostitutes can be seen.
The photographer Hyp Yerlikaya accompanied the women with his camera for two years.
1800 pictures were taken, 40 of which are shown in Mannheim.
