Three men on trial for drug trafficking were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 10 to 18 months by the Grenoble criminal court, the prosecutor's office said on Saturday.

In total, five men aged 18 to 28 and an 18-year-old woman appeared on Friday for drug trafficking dismantled at Place Saint-Bruno in Grenoble, said the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Grenoble, François Touret-de Coucy.
The three men "
most involved
" were sentenced to 18 months imprisonment including 8 with probationary suspension for one and 24 months of imprisonment including 12 months and 6 months with probationary suspension for the other two.
They were also sentenced to a ban on contact between them and stay in the city of Grenoble for three years as well as a 3000 euros fine.
Their criminal records included eight to eleven convictions, in particular for acts of theft, possession of a weapon, violence with a weapon, transport, possession, offer or sale of narcotics, "
which illustrates the link between drug trafficking, weapons and violence,
”according to the deputy prosecutor.
The two youngest defendants, without mention in the record, were sentenced to 12 months suspended imprisonment.
A man lending his apartment as a “
nanny
” was sentenced to two months in prison, with revocation of a previous four-month suspension.

A police surveillance of more than a month had made it possible to characterize the round trips and to note 265 transactions for the sale of narcotics, going back to two apartments which served as storage.
