Pliening: Eight apartments in the “new” old school in Gelting
The architect Udo Hübschmann and mayor Roland Frick, commissioned by the community, explained the construction status and what will be housed in the then as good as new building.
According to Frick, the larger part will be eight apartments, six of which are EOF apartments (income-oriented subsidies) at lower rents.
In addition, two homeless rooms will be set up.
Two families will return to two of the six EOF apartments who have already lived in the old building and will be housed elsewhere during the construction period, says Frick.
How the four other units will be occupied has not yet been determined.
Rooms for Plieningen clubs
In the renovated part of the building, the Heimatverein will have a room on the first floor as a new home, while the Pleaninga Theaterbagasch association will move into its home on the ground floor.
In addition, according to Frick, a foyer will be added to the old building with an entrance area, toilets and cloakroom.
In terms of costs, the measure is within the framework, said the mayor.
Almost 2.4 million euros are estimated for the residential building, and 920,000 euros for the part that is being renovated.
For the new construction of the EOF apartments, the municipality expects almost one million euros in state housing subsidies.
