And Reuters quoted data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases that Germany recorded 133 new deaths, which brings the number of Covid-19 deaths to 100,614, while the total number of injuries reached five million and 580,594 injuries after 33,679 new injuries were recorded.
Virologist Christian Drosten warned that 100,000 more people could die from the pandemic, and that some hospitals in some regions, especially in eastern and southern Germany, were under pressure.
