A suspect was arrested for forging and selling "green card" certificates for NIS 150 for a single card, the publication was allowed this morning (Monday).
The young man was arrested on suspicion of forging and selling more than 15 green card certificates via a social network.
This is a certificate stating that the holder has been vaccinated or is recovering from corona disease.
During an undercover investigation that began a few months ago in the National Unit for Combating Economic Crime (YALK) together with a department of agents in Lahav 433, investigative materials accumulated that pointed to a suspect from Netanya, in his 20s, who advertised himself in various WhatsApp groups "Counterfeit in exchange for a sum of cash.

According to the suspicion, the young man allegedly took advantage of the demand for a green badge and enticed citizens to purchase the fake badge out of greed for money.
In doing so, he risked human life and feared spreading the disease of the unvaccinated / recovering who acquired the mark.
The suspect, who allegedly acted in disguise using an anonymous phone number, sold the fake note at a cost of about NIS 150 and would receive the money through an instant payment app.
In the case, the suspect was arrested and questioned on November 16 for forgery, an act that could spread illness, receiving anything fraudulently and using a forged document.
His detention was extended until November 25 by the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion.
In addition, during the investigation several suspects were detained and questioned for obtaining fake green card certificates from the suspect.
The suspects were released on restrictive conditions.
The investigation is being conducted by the police, accompanied by the Central District Attorney's Office.
