Saudi Arabia announced that it had responded on the night of Monday 6 to Tuesday 7 December to a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis from Yemen, destroying the launch site in Sana'a during an air raid.
"We have destroyed sites in Sana'a linked to ballistic missiles and drones,"
tweeted the official Saudi agency SPA, which had earlier announced the interception and destruction by the Saudi army of a ballistic missile sent to it. Arabia by Houthi rebels from Yemen.

The Houthi rebels control much of northern Yemen, including the capital Sana'a, taken from government in 2014. The Houthis, close to Iran, and forces loyal to the Yemeni government, supported by a military coalition led by Arabia Arabia, is waging a war that has left tens of thousands dead and millions displaced.

SPA said that the target of the retaliatory air raid on Yemen included an area of
"caves and secret ballistic missile warehouses on the outskirts of Sana'a

The Saudi Ministry of Defense cited by SPA denounces the shooting of the Houthi rebels as
"a vicious and irresponsible behavior of targeting civilians"
