Today, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque and prevented the Hebron Reconstruction Committee from carrying out maintenance work inside it.
Wafa Agency quoted the Director General of Hebron Endowments, Sheikh Jamal Abu Aram, as saying that the occupation forces prevented the employees of the Reconstruction Committee from carrying out maintenance and repair work inside the sanctuary. Haram and seize it.
Abu Aram called on international and humanitarian organizations to stand up to their responsibilities and stop the measures of the Judaizing occupation and attempts to deliberately sabotage the Palestinian cultural heritage and implement the decision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued in July 2017, which considers the Ibrahimi Mosque a Palestinian heritage site.
Earlier today, the occupation forces prevented the Reconstruction Committee from working on completing the restoration of 12 old houses in Haret al-Jabari, near the Haram al-Sharif in the old city of Hebron.
