Tonight, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, the director general of the ministry, Prof. Nachman Ash, and the head of the public health services, Dr. Sharon Elrai Price, held a press conference on the steps to deal with the Omicron variant.
At the event, Elrai Price announced that England and Denmark would be included in the list of red countries to which the flight is banned.
Initially, Belgium was also included in the list of red states, but shortly afterwards the Ministry of Health withdrew it and announced that "on further examination, it was found that Belgium is borderline and does not meet the criteria of a red state".
However, it was reported that "the prevalence of omicrons in Belgium is on the rise and therefore there may be changes in the guidelines in the coming days."
