In October, hundreds of police officers embarked on a huge operation to eradicate crime in an attempt to restore a sense of security to residents of the area.
600 policemen, skimmers, helicopters, dogs and cavalry carried out raids throughout the Negev and seized weapons and drugs in an attempt to bring order and law, as far as possible in the wild south.
"We do not ignore the residents' sense of insecurity. Today we are focusing on specific targets of the perpetrators of the crime," said Deputy Chief of Staff Avi Levy, one of the commanders of the operation.
