Minister of Religious Affairs Matan Kahana announced today (Monday) that (retired) Chief of Staff Zviki Tessler will be appointed to Project Meron ahead of the Rashbi celebration this year. The appointment is the implementation of the interim recommendations of the State Commission of Inquiry.

Tessler is a member of Kibbutz Yavne, who served in the IDF as a squadron commander in the Air Force. In his last position in the IDF, he served as Chief of the Home Front Command with the rank of Brigadier General.
