As reported by several media outlets, a stranger is said to have planned an attack on the British Queen Elizabeth II.

The man had entered Windsor Castle armed.

London - A man armed with a crossbow is said to have broken into Windsor Castle around 8:30 a.m. on Christmas Day, reports the Thames Valley Police. * But they managed to arrest him.

According to media reports, the 19-year-old planned an assassination attempt on Queen Elizabeth II. * And announced the act beforehand in a video.

The video shows a hooded person holding a crossbow in front of the camera and announcing that she wants to murder the Queen in revenge for the Amritsar massacre in 1919.

The stranger is said to have sent the video to friends before his break-in.

Whether this is really the intruder in the palace must now be determined.

It's not the first time an intruder has made it into the castle.

In 1982 a man climbed over the walls of Buckingham Palace and even made it into the monarch's bedroom - albeit unarmed.

According to reports, he did not want to threaten the Queen, just see her.
