In response to a number of preliminary confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus, the government cited the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J), and conducted three investigations at 7:00 and 9:00 last night (9th). Enclosed inspections were carried out on several buildings, including 2 Junhuigang Towers in Tai Kok Tsui, 8 Aegean Coast Buildings in Tuen Mun and Mei Xin Building in Tai Po Old Market.
The authorities announced this morning that there were no positive tests in eight Aegean coasts.

[06:15] The government issued a statement stating that it has completed the compulsory testing of 8 Aegean coasts in Tuen Mun. As of 0:00 a.m., about 610 residents have been tested, and no confirmed cases have been found.
In addition, the government sent staff to visit about 235 households, and about 30 households were not answered.
