That day, while he was waiting for his carer, an individual came to his home, pretending to be a construction worker and claiming a problem with blocked pipes.

Decorated with the Croix de Guerre, the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit, Fernand Frantz is an Alsatian Lutheran pastor who was notably the Protestant chaplain of the Alsace Lorraine Brigade commanded by André Malraux.
