The committee concerned with following up on violations of the Syrian Company for the Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products seized the fuel of a private gas station in the countryside of Damascus, violating the monopoly of diesel and gasoline to be traded on the black market and depriving citizens of their allowances.
The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of, that the quantity that was monopolized amounted to about 12,000 liters of gasoline and about 5,000 liters of diesel.
The ministry added that, after matching with the electronic card department, the necessary measures were taken and a periodical request was made to the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to take what is duly necessary for the station's violation.
