In view of the increasing number of infections in the Dachau district, the Helios Amper clinics in Dachau and Indersdorf are expanding their precautionary measures.

- The number of Covid-19 patients is currently still stable, as press spokeswoman Pia Ott reports. "Due to the rapidly increasing incidences in the district, however, we are increasing the protective measures." As far as the effects of Omikron on the clinic are concerned, so one expects a time lag of ten to 14 days until the increasing number of positive tests in the population is also reflected in an increasing number of inpatients, as Alexander von Freyburg, pandemic officer doctor and head of emergency aid, recently explained in an interview.

With the ban on visits, the clinic management wants to protect the patients, their visits and the employees from transmission of the corona virus in the best possible way. "We are aware of how important personal contact with family and friends is for recovery," says the Medical Director of the Amper Clinics, Professor Dr. Hjalmar Hagedorn. "But due to the current development and the rapidly increasing number of infections, we decided to take this step." Patients often have a weakened immune system or previous illnesses and are particularly at risk of infection with the corona virus alongside older people. "We therefore ask for your understanding," says Hagedorn.

So that patients can still stay in touch with their relatives, free WiFi is available to them in addition to fixed telephones at the patient's bed.

There is also the option of communicating with the clinics via an iPad.

In special situations, exceptions to the ban on visits are possible.

They apply to patients in palliative care wards, to a clearly defined accompanying person at birth and to a parent in the case of children and adolescents under the age of 18.

For these regulations, prior telephone registration and consultation with the treating physicians and the ward staff is requested.
