Which club gets how much money from the city coffers?

The Wolfratshausen city councilor Fritz Schnalder refers to the example of Geretsried.

Wolfratshausen – The procedure is simple: Clubs and organizations hoping for financial support from the municipality have to submit an application every year. This is pre-checked by the city administration with a view to formal correctness and then forwarded to the city council for a decision. Since the citizens' representatives "are never entirely free from subjectivity", as Fritz Schnalker recently conceded in the main committee, the SPD city council proposed a "points system" based on the model of Geretsried.

According to Schnalcker, 12 to 15 subsidy applications are submitted to the councils for decision each year.

Each individual examination takes about an hour.

In his own words, Schnecker does not shy away from the work; he is much more interested in transparency.

For this reason, he suggested taking a look at Geretsried: The neighboring town had developed objective assessment bases, in the sense of the "medium-sized center" it made sense to install such a system in Loisachstadt as well.

"So the clubs could calculate for themselves how much subsidy they get."

Geretsried: Points system for sports funding decided

In Geretsried, the point system, which is initially used without exception for sports promotion, was developed by the budget consolidation working group under the leadership of the municipal controller Thomas Schmid.

According to the 17:10 city council decision, it has been in effect since January 1st.

As reported, the sports office awards points - based on the number of members in the club, its structure, the use of municipal sports facilities and the year the club was founded, among other things.

Water sports enthusiasts and the ice sports club are exempt from the new subsidy procedure, with both of which the municipality makes individual agreements.

Up to 25 points there's a maximum of 150 euros, up to 2000 points this doubles continuously to up to 9600 euros.

From 2001 points the cap is on, more than 14,400 euros are not in it.

Buckler: Both cities should "close briefly"

City councilor Schnalder considers the evaluation system of the neighbors to be conclusive and understandable.

He suggested that Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner (BVW) make "representations" to his counterpart Michael Müller (CSU) that the two cities should "short-circuit".

In this context, Schnaller pointed out that there were Wolfratshausers who were members of a Geretsried association “and vice versa”.

Not least for this reason, it would make sense for the same rules to apply here as there.

Deputy Mayor Günther Eibl (CSU), who chaired the main committee meeting as a representative, welcomed Buckler's initiative.

He will discuss the topic with Heilinglechner.
