Three Russian military naval units arrived in the Baltic on Wednesday through the Danish straits.
In response, last weekend, Swedish military planes and ferries dropped off several hundred soldiers with their equipment in Gotland.
They now patrol at strategic points on the island, in particular the port of Visby and the airport.
Armored conveyors and anti-aircraft guns are stationed in the streets.

Sweden will not be caught off guard

It is clear that the risk is real, and the possibility of aggression against Sweden cannot be ruled out.
We have to show that we are not naive.
If something happens, Sweden will not be caught off guard
,” Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist said in an interview with the station on Saturday.
