The jazz musician Emil Mangelsdorff died at the age of 96, as announced by the Hessian State Chancellery and the Mayor of Frankfurt, Peter Feldmann.
The saxophonist "not only made a contribution to culture in Hesse, but also did valuable work to commemorate the darkest hours of German history," explained Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU).
Frankfurt/Main – According to information from the Darmstadt Jazz Institute, Mangelsdorff died on Thursday.
