Addressing the problem of water cuts and securing the necessary mechanisms to open roads and provide the people’s needs of bread and gas were the most prominent outcomes of the tour of the Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, and the Governor of Damascus Countryside, Eng. Moataz Abu al-Nasr Jamran, to a number of villages of Jabal al-Sheikh, all the way to the town of Arna under the prevailing weather conditions.
During their meeting with Minister Makhlouf and the Governor of Damascus Countryside, the people demanded the necessity of extending a direct electric line to the drinking water wells in Arna to get rid of the suffering of frequent water cuts and reduce the hours of electricity rationing under these conditions and increase the quantities of diesel distributed to the area.
In a statement to reporters, Minister Makhlouf confirmed that during the tour, the service situation was inspected in the cold areas of Jabal al-Sheikh in light of the snowfall, and the necessary mechanisms were secured to open all roads, provide the people's needs of bread and gas, and follow up the process of distributing the second batch of diesel.
Makhlouf confirmed that direct contact was made with the directors of water and electricity to end the suffering of citizens regarding water, and it was treated.
The Governor of Damascus Countryside, for his part, indicated that the governorate is keen to provide more services and increase the quantities of diesel that began distributing two days ago.
A number of citizens indicated during their receipt of the second batch of diesel fuel in the town of Rakhla that there is a direct response and speed in the implementation. Citizen Farid Alama said that speeding up the distribution under these current weather conditions is very important, even though the quantity is small among the citizen Ayman Abu Rafea that Messages began to come to citizens, and distribution began yesterday.
Adham Saqr, one of the diesel distributors, pointed out that cars distributing the second batch of diesel were spread throughout the governorate, especially in cold areas, despite the harsh weather conditions.
On the other hand, the Minister was briefed with the governors of Damascus and Damascus Countryside on the progress of implementing infrastructure projects in the city of car showrooms in Al-Duwair area in Damascus Countryside Governorate.
Makhlouf pointed out that the city of car exhibitions is a joint project implemented in cooperation between the governorates of Damascus and its countryside to address the problem of car offices and everything related to this profession, including companies, agencies, rental offices, repair shops and the sale of parts in order to organize and advance this profession and reduce congestion in the city.
The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi, said in a statement to reporters that the governorate provided the necessary capabilities and secured the mechanisms and workers to expedite the implementation of the infrastructure that was started a short time ago. It will be a civilized model that includes everything related to the profession in addition to other extensions of restaurants, shops and others.
The governorate is ready to provide all the necessary materials and mechanisms to complete the work in the city as quickly as possible.. This was confirmed by the Governor of Damascus Countryside.
The Director of the Car Showrooms City, Engineer Gandhi Suleiman, in turn, pointed out that the infrastructure works have taken important steps after the meeting that was held in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers recently to overcome all problems related to property, indicating that some works exceeded the implementation rate of 15 percent.
