Moped driver (66) falls into a ditch - rescue helicopter in action

A moped driver had an accident in Nandlstadt: the 66-year-old got off the road and was seriously injured.

– A serious accident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Nandlstadt municipality.

A 66-year-old had to be taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter.

As reported by the police, the man from the Freising district was traveling around 1:30 p.m. with his Xiamen moped on the FS 25 district road from Hausmehring in the direction of Hörgertshausen.

Before the junction to Airischwand, he came off the road alone and fell into a drainage ditch.

He sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The moped driver was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter.

Since, according to witnesses, he should have been driving in zigzag lines before the accident, a blood test had to be ordered.

The heavily damaged motorcycle was towed away.
