Bad Tölz - The initiators of the counter-demos to the "walks" in Bad Tölz start digital contradiction with their "Tölz Declaration" on the Internet.

For a few weeks now, the so-called walks by critics of the current corona measures have been taking place in the district on Monday evening - in particular a silent protest against the vaccination campaign.

At the same time, registered demonstrators, the supporters of the Corona rules (we reported), also gathered.

The initiators of this counter-demo from Bad Tölz are now calling online for the contradiction.

"We call on the walkers to return to the democratic discourse"

Those involved in the counter-demonstrations for the "walks" in Bad Tölz are currently no longer on the market street.

They have now moved their arguments to the Internet.

There the initiators of the "Tölz Declaration for Democracy and Cohesion", the SPD district councilor Filiz Cetin, Sebastian Garreis and Andreas Richter, together with 25 first signatories, ask for digital signatures on the online platform www.openpetition.de.

Especially because the current corona infection process does not currently allow larger demonstrations on the street.

"We urge walkers to return to democratic discourse," the statement said.

"And to express their reservations about a possible vaccination requirement or their criticism of government measures to contain the pandemic while respecting the right of assembly and minimizing health risks."

And further: "In the hospitals in the region, doctors and nursing staff work at the limit." The majority of people in the region behave "reasonably, in solidarity and considerately".

As the Germany-wide vaccination rate of 75 percent shows.

“Our common enemy is the virus, not politics”

The initiators want to strengthen cohesion in civil society by signing the "Tölz Declaration".

The disc ends with the statement: "Our common enemy is a virus, not politics and not our fellow citizens. Let's show solidarity and let's stick together.

For us, for our future, for our democracy and an early end to the pandemic.”
