Mané and Senegal are African champions after beating Salah's Egypt

Sadio Mané missed a penalty in regular time, but would get his revenge by scoring Senegal's fifth penalty and giving his team the title.

The long-awaited duel between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, stars of Liverpool of England, in the final of the African Cup of Nations had Senegal as the winner after a dramatic series of penalties against Egypt.

The game went to a penalty shootout after both African teams were 0-0 in the first 90 minutes and in extra time.

In the first half of the match, Senegal had the opportunity to make it 1-0 with a penalty, but Mané failed from 11 steps before the save by Egyptian Mohamed Abou Gabal, also known as Gabaski.

Gabaski was a figure throughout the game;

however, Sadio Mané would have his revenge in the series of penalties and would give the championship to Senegal after scoring the fifth penalty of his squad.
