Jewish outrage against antisemitic advertisement: "disgusting cartoon"

An antisemitic cartoon was published in a New York State newspaper, and the Agudat Israel in the United States was furious and sent a protest message: "Call for a full apology from the newspaper."

Agudat Israel in the United States has sent a protest message following an advertisement that appeared these days ahead of an article about to appear in a New York State Rockland newspaper newspaper

. Money, the caption reads: "A rabbi holds $ 76 million worth of threads to the East Ramapo School District ... on February 9 this year.

" The concept of a Jew operating puppets on wires in order to embroider a conspiracy, cunningly and secretly influences the world economy and world events, takes us back at least to the 18th century, as expressed in "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and was even one of the typical cartoons of the "Stirmer".

The leaders of Agudath Israel in America added that "we wonder how the newspaper system that approved such a disgusting and hateful cartoon can pretend to be free of prejudice."

"Agudat Israel in America calls for a full apology from the newspaper's editorial staff and its commitment to refrain in the future from publishing racist images and coverage of the Jewish community in Rockland County."

It should be noted that the newspaper apologized but announced that it would not stop further distribution.
