An investigation has been opened after the discovery of a human corpse on fire by firefighters on Saturday in Auray (Morbihan), in a green waste storage area, AFP learned on Sunday from a judicial source.

by walkers who noticed the start of a fire in a green waste storage area of the municipality
", indicates the deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Lorient Eric Pouder in a press release.

When they arrived on the spot, the firefighters noticed that the fire came from a human corpse
”, adds the magistrate.
On the spot, the gendarmes “
actually noted the presence of a body of a male person of indeterminate age and identity
”, specifies Eric Pouder.
