Lili Doktor would like to plant a Beuys oak in Wolfratshausen.
Behind it is an action by the artist Joseph Beuys, a symbol for environmental protection.
Wolfratshausen - 7000 of them are in the city of Kassel.
In Wolfratshausen there is still no copy - an architect wants to change that: Lili Doktor wants a Beuys oak tree in Loisachstadt - as a potential crowd puller, but above all as a symbol.
The trees are named after Joseph Beuys (1921-1986).
In 1982, the German action artist, sculptor, painter, humanist and political activist initiated a special action on the occasion of the Documenta - one of the most important exhibitions of contemporary art - in Kassel.
He planted 7000 trees there, more precisely oaks.

Wolfratshausen: Beuys oak as a symbol for environmental protection
They were easily recognized by the fact that a basalt stone was placed right next to the plant.
This project – according to Beuys a “social sculpture” – had the motto “City forestation instead of city administration”.
The project was initially highly controversial, but most people now see Beuys' action as a call for urban beautification, environmental protection and a conscious approach to the environment in the city.
All of these are important points for Lili Doktor.
"For Wolfratshausen, a Beuys oak would be a pretty thing and a good idea," she says.
At her suggestion, she received a rejection from the town hall "because Joseph Beuys has nothing to do with Wolfratshausen".
The architect and convinced tree protector doesn't want to give up that easily.
She has received support from some Green City Councilors and would like to push her idea further - preferably with a city council decision in the back that forces a Beuys oak tree in a public square.

Beuys Oak could attract visitors
Doctor hopes that a nice area can be found near the old town on which to place trees and basalt stones.
"That might have a nice side effect for cafés nearby," she surmises.
Doctor could well imagine that the new Beuys oak could certainly attract visitors who are interested in the campaign.
There is no such tree in the immediate vicinity of the raftsmen's town, last year the municipality of Graefelfing planted a Beuys oak.
Her desire is not to boost tourism in the Loisachstadt, but above all to create a green area with a symbolic character.
"At the moment trees are being felled again in many places," says Doctor, "and we know about climate change." An action accompanied by the city and many citizens could remind "that we all have to do something and can make a contribution". .
She is aware that planting costs money.
However, the architect is convinced that sponsors and donors would be found for the project: "The people I spoke to about it thought the idea was a good one - and would give something to it."
It's not Doctor's first push for more green in Loisachstadt.
She was the initiator of collecting signatures for a tree protection ordinance.
It is not yet clear whether and when the city council will deal with the Beuys oaks.
