Presidential 2022: Christiane Taubira renounces her candidacy, for lack of sponsorship

The former Minister of Justice, however, has not announced the rallying of another candidate. She simply calls on the left to "pull themselves together".

The former Minister of Justice wanted this Wednesday morning

to “put an end to the useless suspense”

of her candidacy for the presidential election.

With only 181 sponsorships counted by the Constitutional Council on Tuesday evening, the now ex-candidate agreed that she

"would not be able to collect the 500 sponsorships"

by Friday, the deadline.

She believes that she was

"prevented by an administrative device"

, deeming it

"obsolete"

,

"convinced that he lives in the last hours"

.

"This campaign will be fatal to him, and that's good news

," she said.

Christiane Taubira, however, has not announced a rally.

Simply that she would share

"her vote in the first round in the coming weeks"

.

The former Keeper of the Seals of François Hollande had entered the presidential campaign after his victory in the Popular Primary last January, a civic investiture which was to make it possible to settle the question of the union of the left.

“I am the only one to have submitted to this democratic process.

We did what could be done

Almost a month before the first round, the former minister says that the left

"remains mired in an impasse"

but calls on her to
