The number of infections in Rhineland-Palatinate continues to increase

The increase in the number of corona infections in Rhineland-Palatinate continues unabated - for the fifth day in a row the seven-day incidence reached a high.
On Friday, the state investigation office identified 1,375.8 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.
On Thursday it was 1358.8.
Mainz – The health authorities registered 11,151 new cases in one day (as of 2:10 p.m.), as the authority further announced.
The number of people currently infected with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 162,838.
In addition, 9 more deaths from Covid-19 patients were counted, bringing the total number to 5103.

The hospitalization incidence decreased slightly from 7.69 to 7.54.
This indicator, which is important for the burden in the health system, indicates the number of hospital admissions of Covid patients within one week per 100,000 inhabitants.
The highest seven-day incidence was on Friday in the Vulkaneifel district with 2334.2.
The districts of Cochem-Zell (2046.2), Bad Kreuznach (1897.4) and Germersheim (1792.9) followed.
The lowest incidence was 800.9 in the city of Ludwigshafen.
