UFC star Conor McGregor was arrested by Irish police Tuesday night and charged with allegedly driving in a dangerous manner.
Videos posted by McGregor on his Twitter account show the fighter driving down a highway, before the police turned on their sirens and began to arrest him.
Irish police told CNN they arrested a 30-year-old man in the Palmerstown area on Tuesday, March 22.
"The man was taken to Lucan Garda Station where he was later charged. He has been released pending an appearance in Blanchardstown District Court at a later date."
He reported the Garda, as the Irish National Police are known.
In a statement sent to CNN, Karen Kessler, a spokeswoman for McGregor, said: "Mr. McGregor was driving to the gym when Garda pulled him over for suspected traffic offences. He passed drug and alcohol tests conducted at the station."

The 33-year-old hasn't fought since breaking his leg in a fight with Dustin Poirier last July, but is expected to return to the Octagon later this year after posting a series of training videos on his media accounts. social.

In October, Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti claimed that he suffered multiple injuries following an alleged altercation with McGregor.
The DJ said McGregor launched an unprovoked attack at the St. Regis Hotel in Rome, leaving him with injuries to his face and neck.
Police confirmed to CNN that Facchinetti and his attorney formally filed charges.
CNN's calls to police for an update on the case have not been returned.
In August 2019, McGregor admitted he was "wrong" following a pub altercation in Dublin in April of the same year and pleaded guilty.
