Many Germans have planned a camping holiday for 2022.
If you want to go abroad, you sometimes have to observe numerous corona rules.
An overview.
Camping has received a lot of impetus due to the corona pandemic.
Instead of sharing a hotel with many people, you can enjoy more freedom in your own mobile home and plan your trip individually.
In Germany, the most popular camping regions include the North and Baltic Seas and Bavaria.
But many camping holidaymakers are also drawn abroad - numerous relaxations of corona measures are currently making planning much easier.
Denmark vacation with the camper - all measures overturned
Denmark has around 500 campsites on the North and Baltic Seas - so the choice is huge.
At the same time, travelers can look forward to the fact that the corona measures were completely lifted on February 1st*.
Covid-19 is no longer classified as a socially critical disease in neighboring Germany.
Tourists and locals
no longer have to adhere to a mask requirement, access rules or contact restrictions
.
The entry restrictions for travelers from EU and Schengen countries were also ended on March 1st.
Motorhome travelers therefore no longer need to worry about Corona rules on the campsite.
Farewell to corona rules: camping holidays in the Netherlands
Since March 23, there are no longer any corona restrictions in the Netherlands either – neither within the country nor when entering from EU or Schengen countries.
When entering the country by plane alone, travelers must fill out a health form, according to the government website.
There are no special corona rules for entry by car or camper.
Thus, vacationers do not have to take any special precautions for their stay here either.
Austria with slight tightening - what currently applies
In Austria, the Corona requirements have been tightened again somewhat: Since March 23, FFP2 masks
have had to be worn again in publicly accessible rooms - including public transport, restaurants and hostels
, as
Austria.info
informs.
In addition, operators (in night catering and at indoor events with more than 100 people) can request 3G proof in certain areas.
No stricter access restrictions have been decided for hotels or campsites.
Since the Corona measures change frequently, camping holidaymakers should also contact the operator to find out about the measures on site.
The following applies to entry: A valid vaccination, convalescence or test certificate must be available.
If none of this evidence is available, a registration for
pre-travel clearance
must be carried out.
End of the Corona measures in Switzerland
Switzerland lifted the current corona measures on February 17.
Entry from Germany is therefore generally possible without proof and the entry form is also not required.
If you are unsure, you can also carry out the travel check.
Almost all rules have also been lifted in the country - only the mask requirement in public transport and in health facilities remains.
However, no special rules are known on campsites.
TSC Camping, the largest campsite provider in Switzerland, advises holidaymakers
to book a pitch early
, as demand is very high.
Before arriving, tourists should find out about the measures at the campsite.
Camping: Italy relaxes at the end of March – what applies to travel until then
In Italy, the Corona emergency applies until March 31.
Until then, travelers aged 12 and over must
follow
the 2G rule to access hotels and other accommodation establishments .
Within Italy, the vaccination certificate is also only valid for six months - after that, those affected must also present a negative PCR test that is not older than 72 hours, or a rapid antigen test that is no more than 48 hours ago.
Vaccination certificates that are up to nine months old are also accepted upon entry.
Apart from that, entry is also permitted with proof of recovery (maximum six months old) or a negative PCR or rapid antigen test.
Holidaymakers should find out before arrival
which rules apply at the campsite
.
In general, masks are compulsory in closed rooms and on public transport in Italy.
As the Federal Foreign Office informs, the number of occupants in vehicles is limited.
A maximum of five people from one household or three people from different households may be in the car.
In the latter variant, masks are mandatory and a distance requirement of one meter applies.
