According to the updated list of confirmed buildings by the Centre for Health Protection yesterday, a total of 6,011 buildings have been diagnosed in the past 14 days, an increase of 114 buildings from 5,897 buildings the day before.


The Eastern District of Hong Kong Island is still the "hardest-hit area" with 499 buildings on the list, followed by Yuen Long District and Sha Tin District, with 496 and 481 buildings respectively having confirmed cases.

As for the new "epidemic buildings" on the list, there are 241 buildings, of which 41 buildings in the Kowloon City District account for the most, including Bar Fu Gardens, Xianglong Bay, etc., followed by Sham Shui Po District, with 39 new buildings.

The total number of confirmed cases in the 499 buildings in the Eastern District is the most among the 18 districts

Among the 6,011 buildings on the latest confirmed list, 499 are located in the eastern district of Hong Kong Island, ranking first among the 18 districts in Hong Kong.

Many of them are large private housing estates, including City Garden, Horizon Gardens, etc.

The number of buildings on the list in Taikoo Shing remains unchanged, with 18 buildings as the day before, which shows that the epidemic in this area is still not under control.

It was followed by Yuen Long District and Sha Tin District, with 496 and 481 buildings respectively having confirmed cases.

The top three places the day before yesterday are still Eastern District, Yuen Long District and Sha Tin District, in other words, the epidemic situation in these three districts is still severe.

In particular, the number of buildings in Sha Tin increased from 451 yesterday to 481 yesterday, a total of 30 buildings.

As for the 241 newly-infected buildings on the list yesterday, 41 buildings in Kowloon City accounted for the most, including Bar Fu Garden, Xianglong Bay, Cruise Hotel, and Chunmin Court.
