Syrian poets who mingle with women's issues were guests of the activities of the second day of the (Ishtar Innovate) festival, which is being held at the Cultural Center in Baniyas.
During a literary meeting, the poets presented a variety of poems that dealt with the topics of women, love and pain in various forms between thought, prose, and activation poetry.
The poet Lamis Bilal recited several poems from Al-Tafila poetry, including the poem (Damascus) in which she addressed the role of the Syrian woman who is able to face life, regardless of the circumstances and difficulties, in addition to two poems entitled (An Overflow from the Slate of Words) and (Blasphemy).
The poet Naomi Suleiman recited prose poems bearing the titles (Poems for Dawn), (A Bus and Faces), (Sanabel al-Farah) and (Colors of a Homeland).
As for the poet, Lina Farran, she recited a literary text (Thought) entitled (My Heart Answers), in which she spoke about the heart's aspiration for love despite the estrangement of loved ones and the absence of connection.
Poet Maram Abbas inspired in her poems (Poems of September) and (My Eyes Are Beautiful) the legend of (Ishtar) to emphasize renewal, fertility, love and the importance of women.
In her turn, the poet Areej Hassan wrote a group of prose texts, most of which are an embodiment of a woman’s constant search for herself and existence, her strong desire for knowledge to take the right place, her need for affection, and the reality of Syrian women in times of war.
The poetic paragraphs included playing and singing on the oud and percussion by the two students, Zainat Ibrahim and Linda Ismail, tenth graders, who performed the plays of the Set Dance, Hilal Al Saba, Samra Yasamra and others.
The activities of the second day concluded with singing and playing compasses presented by the Ashtar band, under the supervision of Wessal Issa.
