He went on to point out that the relevant students should fill in the HKU courses in Band A on the JUPAS form and pass the relevant interviews; and the students will still be able to reach individual subjects after a 10% discount on the results of the HKDSE and the course scoring method. For example, a candidate puts HKU Course A in Band A and has passed the course interview. In the HKDSE, he obtained 5** in English, 5* in Mathematics, 5 in Liberal Studies, and two electives respectively. 5* and 5**, but failed in Chinese and only got 2.

If HKU Course A uses the best six subjects to calculate the score, the expected admission score for this year is 33 points, the candidate's total score for the six subjects is 38.5 points, and he still has a score of 34.65 points after the 10% discount, and he can still be considered for admission to Course A.
