How does the city of Tegernsee intend to deal with its monuments in the future?

This is to be determined with the help of a municipal monument protection concept.

The next step has now been taken.

Tegernsee

– The Tegernsee city council has once again dealt with a municipal monument protection concept that is to be drawn up for Tegernsee.

In principle, but not unanimously, the city council had already approved the project.

And after a preliminary consultation in the local planning committee, in which both district master builder Christian Boiger and Gerhard Ongyerth from the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation (BLfD) were involved, it was now a matter of deciding on the draft of the monument conservationists for the performance profile and the investigation area proposed by the city administration .

Core of Tegernsee with "highest density of monuments"

The study area therefore includes the core of Tegernsee with the “highest density of monuments”, as Mayor Johannes Hagn (CSU) explained.

It stretches from the station area via Bahnhofstrasse to Hoffischerei and along the lake shore from Münchner Strasse to Hochfeldstrasse.

Of course, the former monastery is also taken into account.

High costs: City councilors advocate moving

Again there were critical voices.

"I don't think it makes sense and I'm not willing to spend a large sum on the concept at this point in time," criticized Peter Hollerauer (FWG), thereby renewing the rejection he had already expressed.

Since the tenders for the fire station are becoming more and more expensive, it is better to back off and wait two years.

Vice Mayor Michael Bourjau (FWG) was also in favor of moving, mainly because of the workload for Bettina Koch, head of the building department.

"What are we doing wrong if we put it off?" he asked the group.

Hagn defended the concept as of this writing.

On the one hand, a planning office will be hired to do the main work, and on the other hand, the city wants to start planning the station area.

The majority felt the same way.

The proposed investigation area was approved by twelve votes to five.

In the further course, focal points and changes are to be determined.
