The theater group "Oberländler" from Reichersbeuern is now performing their play "Anna von Pienzenau" after two years of a forced Corona break.

The rehearsals are running.

Reichersbeuern

- After a long wait - after the lifting of the corona restrictions - cultural life in the Isarwinkel can now pick up speed again.

Reason for joy for the theater group of the Reichersbeurer Trachtenverein "Oberländler".

In July they can finally perform their long-rehearsed play "Anna von Pienzenau" with about 40 actors.

Due to Corona, the planned performance for the 1000th anniversary of the town in 2020 has now been postponed to 2022.

The open-air theater is about insidious murder plans, a deeply religious woman and her unfaithful and unscrupulous husband.

The amateur actors have not been completely idle in the past few weeks.

After all, performances of the play “Franzosenzipfe” were scheduled for March.

The costumers have been rehearsing for "Anna" since the beginning of May, as theater director Werner Härtl reports when asked by our newspaper.

Theater in Reichersbeuern: performance was planned for the 1000th anniversary of the town

The two-act play penned by Klaus Steinbacher senior.

based on true events that took place around Reichersbeuern at the beginning of the 17th century.

"In 2020 we had already tailored the costumes to the actors, put together teams of seamstresses, shot film snippets and clips as part of the dramaturgy," Härtl looks back.

After two years there have also been some changes with regard to the performance.

"Several roles - some of them supporting roles - jumped out of us," says the Reichersbeurer.

Nevertheless, the open-air theater group was able to provide a replacement - sometimes with the help of members of other clubs and, among other things, a student from the Max-Rill-Gymnasium.

According to Härtl, rehearsals in the coming weeks will show whether the players will quickly find their way back into their roles.

"We work in several game teams to progress as efficiently as possible."

Historical evening program in Reichersbeuern Castle

Fencers, musicians and dancers initially rehearse independently, Klaus Steinbacher as author, director and director takes on the work of the first act, the dramaturgy in the second act is worked out by two teams under the direction of Franz Frauenrieder and Werner Härtl.

In June, all the elements and teams will be put together and the final touches made – so that everything is right at the theater evenings.

A supporting program with a historical touch rounds off the performances and transports the audience to the Renaissance in the Oberland for an evening.

Further information

The performances are planned from July 8th to July 17th at 8 p.m. on the weekends in the Reicherbeur Castle, in case of bad weather further performances can follow on the last weekends in July.
