The Ministry of Economy launches a campaign to raise awareness for increasing employment in the ultra-Orthodox sector • Muna has established a network of academies in the periphery for all types of population:

The director of population employment in the labor arm of the Ministry of Economy launched a campaign to promote and encourage employment among men in ultra-Orthodox society, the main message - "There is work, it's a fact!".

The goals are to raise awareness of the issue of livelihoods and increase employment through the employment guidance centers deployed throughout the country.

The campaign is coming up close to International Diversity Day, and is aimed at ultra-Orthodox men who were ejected from the labor market, or who were barred from joining it.

According to Yulia Eitan, head of the directorate: "Many in the ultra-Orthodox society do not take part in the employment market due to the fear of harming their way of life, or work where they fail to reach their full potential. 'key'".

And there are also private initiatives.

Assaf Brimer founded the Muna - Space for Change organization eight years ago, which deals with the integration of populations in the Arab, Bedouin and Haredi sectors, and residents of the periphery.

In a conversation with Israel Today, Brimmer talks about the significant wage gaps that currently exist in high-tech between the general population and the Arab and Bedouin societies, which earn about 30% less on average.

Do not just pour money

According to Brimmer, "The wage gap between underrepresented populations and the general population is a reflection of reality, but is a second-degree problem, not the main problem - which is the lack of integration of these populations in high-tech in general, and management levels in particular. Nationwide grow, "he says.

"The state has tried to integrate the Arab and Bedouin populations through various five-year programs, tried to pour money and see if anything happens. The integration will be possible when the populations are given equal opportunities as children, and for that there should be an infrastructure of education and teachers.

"Muna" is a network of academies that are in the periphery and are intended for all types of population. Each such academy is a center of activity for all localities in the area, not just Arab society, and for all age ranges. The potential, and the potential is everywhere, "says Brimmer.
