The Russian Defense Ministry announced that extremist groups and Ukrainian forces bombed residential buildings, killing and wounding civilians in the city of Nikolaevka, Lugansk People's Republic, to carry out a new provocation and discredit the Russian army.
"The Kyiv regime in the village of Nikolaevka, Luhansk People's Republic carried out a new provocation in order to discredit the Russian armed forces, as fighters of the ultra-nationalist battalions and the Ukrainian armed forces targeted apartment buildings with artillery, which resulted in deaths and wounded civilians.
Mizintsev revealed that New York Times correspondents and Ukrainian journalists accompanying the extremists had taken pictures and videos of the strikes and their results, which were carried out by allegedly Russian units.
"We warn the so-called civilized West that these and other false acts by the Kyiv authorities are scheduled to be widely disseminated in the media and on Internet sites in the near future," Mizintsev added.
Mizintsev stressed that such actions by the Ukrainian authorities once again demonstrate complete indifference to the fate of civilians in Ukraine.
