Today, the Ministry of Education inaugurated the Educational Supervision Follow-up Center with the aim of daily communication between the Ministry, its central directorates and teachers in the governorates, submitting weekly reports to decision-makers, and starting a new stage in education, in the Ministry’s building in Damascus.
Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, indicated in a statement to reporters that it is the first center of its kind in the field of educational supervision that achieves digital transformation in a qualitative shift towards transformation in education, indicating that the center provides electronic follow-up to educational supervision to achieve daily communication between the ministry, its directorates and teachers to avoid errors that occur and follow up. Any defect is addressed immediately through weekly reports that reach the specialist mentors and the first in the center on the progress of the educational process.
The Director of Educational Supervision in the Ministry, Enas Mayh, explained that the role of the educational director and specialist in this center is to follow up the educational field electronically through screens.
The center includes solving all problems that require a quick solution in the field, following up on the educational process, evaluating teachers’ performance, and submitting weekly reports. In addition, there is a follow-up link with the local community for parents wishing to inquire about any topic to be answered by the center’s mentors.
Maye indicated that the center contains several computers, each computer dedicated to one or two subjects to follow up the learning process through dedicated links for each subject run by the first mentors and specialists according to a specific program, noting that during the next month a similar center for psychological and social supervision will be opened to alleviate and treat behavioral problems in schools.
