The Russian Defense Ministry has demanded an investigation into the work of at least four US biological laboratories operating in Nigeria, where monkeypox originated.
"According to a report issued by the World Health Organization, the West African strain of monkeypox originated from Nigeria, where the United States has deployed its biological infrastructure, and according to available information there are at least four Washington biological laboratories in Nigeria.
Kirillov added: “According to the European and American media, a scenario was drawn up to confront an outbreak caused by a new strain of monkeypox virus in the materials for the Munich Security Conference in 2021 against the background of the Corona virus pandemic.”
Kirillov called on the WHO leadership to investigate the activities of US-funded Nigerian laboratories in Nigeria. Funded by the United States in Abuja, Zaria and Lagos, and to inform the international community of its results.”
According to the footage presented by the Defense Ministry during Kirillov's statement, two US-controlled biological laboratories are operating in Abuja, one in Zaria and one in Lagos.
