Egling – Despite intensive efforts, the staffing situation in the community's kindergartens and crèches is critical.

This item was voted on at a recent council meeting.

There has been a high turnover in recent years.

The situation has now worsened again.

Due to layoffs, illness and pregnancy, there is a risk that there will not be enough staff available for all groups in the long term.

Tough competition for skilled workers

This would mean that not all children from the municipal area would be able to get a place in a crèche or kindergarten.

With regard to the right to care for all children, solutions must urgently be sought here.

Since similar problems also exist in other communities, this results in tough competition for skilled workers.

The councilors Theresia Bauer, Florian Sperl, Michael Neubauer and Hans Spindler therefore consider it urgently necessary to create incentives for long-term employment in the local day-care centers.

The municipality of Egling is improving the conditions for applicants for employment in the municipality as of today, the first of June, and consequently for all employees, including staff accommodation, a travel allowance, flexible working time models, free accommodation for their own children in the day-care centers in the municipality of Egling and loyalty bonuses from 250 euros for each full year of childcare up to the age of five.

Municipality of Münsing wants to address young people via social media

Furthermore, the community wants to actively address young people in social media and create their own community accounts via Facebook and Instagram.

In this regard, the administrations of the care facilities are authorized to contact agencies for support in finding staff.

The municipal council should be regularly informed about the results of the activities.
