Gauting - As of today, Monday, June 13th, the team in Gautinger Insel is complete again.
Born in Mexico, Verónica Dettbarn is taking over the responsibilities of her predecessor Martina Ottmar with immediate effect, including the issue of inclusion.
Inclusion is an important area for her that she would like to expand.
Dettbarn lives in Gauting with her husband and five-year-old son, just a stone's throw from her new job.
In general, she likes animals very much, as she says - but more dogs than cats.
But what is much more important for her professional career: “I love working with people and am happy to be able to help them in different life situations.
That's why I'm excited about Gautinger Insel and I'm sure that a great team and interesting tasks are waiting for me," says the psychologist.
“I gained experience in human resources in Mexico and went to Germany for further training.
After completing my master's degree in psychology at the LMU, I had the opportunity to work in the social sector.
I have a lot of experience in migration counseling and in advising families with young children".
Her last station before the island was the Internationale Bund eV, where she supported families with small children who were suffering from psychosocial problems in structuring their everyday lives and complying with their legal obligations towards the job center and other authorities.
She was able to deepen her specialist knowledge in social work and build up effective and successful cooperation with various specialist departments, which suits her current work on the island very much.
With her work as a migration consultant at Malteser Migranten Medizin, she also brings a lot of enriching know-how with her.
If Verónica Dettbarn is looking for private compensation for the new professional challenges, she will not only find it in her family.
"Even a beautiful, romantic film or walks and hikes in the great outdoors give me new ideas," she admits.
