First Brigade Command in the IDF:
Today (Thursday), Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi awarded the rank of Colonel to Reut Ratig-Weiss, the first brigade commander in IDF history and the first woman in this rank as a combat officer in the Artillery Corps.
Colonel Retig-Weiss, who was also the first woman to command the Sky Rider unit, will take over as Bezeq Fire Brigade Commander and Fire Center Commander at the National Land Training Center.
