Something didn't quite add up in this negotiation.

A patchy story was served to the dish.

In the end there was an acquittal for a man from Markt Schwaben.

Markt Schwaben – Because she had shown herself with a plastic bag of cannabis on an Instagram photo on the Internet, the police found out about the drug use of a now 21-year-old woman from Erding.

This had consequences for a market Schwabener (39) and his son (19): The young woman stated that she had received the cannabis from the young man with whom she was friends.

He, in turn, and this is where it gets spicy, bought some of the weed from his father and smoked it - in their presence, at the common market Swabian living room table.

"I had the wrong friends and got carried away," said the 21-year-old before the Ebersberg lay judge.

There the father was accused.

The son has already received his sentence in another trial

While the son and the woman from Erding were sentenced in another procedure, the 39-year-old was threatened with greater adversity.

Because in the period in question, the summer of 2020, his son was still a minor.

Drug trafficking against young people - the law doesn't take it as a joke.

"This is my child!

I don't give him any drugs!” the warehouse clerk denied the allegations.

The son also admitted to using drugs, but vigorously contradicted the allegations against the father – he didn't even allow him to drink alcohol.

"Stunken and lied!", called the 19-year-old the statement of his former best friend (or partner, the statements also differed on this).

While the defendant suspected revenge as a result of a relationship dispute between his son and the young woman, his defense attorney's strategy was to highlight inconsistencies and inaccuracies in her testimony.

witness remains vague

In fact, the witness found it difficult to say when, where, how often and in what quantities she herself had observed such drug evenings.

"I don't know anymore." District judge Frank Gellhaus and the lay judges were not satisfied with their testimony for a conviction, even the prosecutor pleaded for acquittal: in case of doubt for the accused.

However, it could not be denied that the father had also used drugs in the past and that glass plates with remains of amphetamines were found in the Swabian apartment during a house search.

"This is not a first-class acquittal!" the judge warned.

The witness was not unbelievable, but simply too vague for a verdict.
